Kiril Geratliev was appointed Executive Director of the Executive Agency Science and Education for Smart Growth Operational Programme
By Order of the Minister of Education and Science, Krassimir Valchev, as of 1 November 2017, Kiril Geratliev was appointed Executive Director of Executive Agency (EA) "Science and Education for Smart Growth Operational Programme".
Kiril Geratliev has over 10 years of experience in managing programmes and projects co-financed by EU funds as well as occupying leading positions in the public and private sectors. As Chief Director of "European Funds for Competitiveness" at the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism and Chief Director of "Management of Territorial Cooperation" at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works he has experience in restructuring the units responsible for EU funds management and the reorganization of the management and control systems thereof. Kiril Geratliev has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of National and World Economy and Master’s Degree in Public Administration, profile of "European Projects Management" from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". He has specializations in the field of industrial policy, SME policy, regional policy in Japan, Italy and Germany. He speaks English and uses Russian.
