SUMMARY:
The project entirely corresponds to the European and national objectives for improving an access and increasing the quality of vocational education and training according to the needs of economy and changes of the labour market. The objective to improve the compliance between vocational training and business requirements and to facilitate the transition from education to employment is incorporated in Europe 2020 Strategy and in the National Development Programme: Bulgaria 2020. The results should be in compliance with the needs of regional and local labour market, turning the initial and continuing vocational training into an attractive training opportunity, providing a flexible access to education and qualification and increasing the number of students in vocational schools.
ACHIEVED RESULTS:
Programmes related to practical trainings in a real working environment are elaborated. 8 351 students, participating in internships in a real working environment, are involved during the project implementation. The relationships between vocational education and training and business are improved.1 861 partnerships with enterprises are established and used as a basis for implementation of training through job (dual educational system). The practice of concluding agreements on long-term cooperation between schools and employers are established. Practical skills of 8 350 students are improved, of which 2 477 students from priority professions for work in a real working environment and supported by over 2000 mentors from enterprises in close relationship with over 1000 observing teachers. 406 training companies are established.
